The M11 has a volume control for it's bluetooth output. I run the M11 at 100% and control the listening level with the BT-2 control. Very convenient and it sounds fantastic.
1 issue fixed: Out of the box it would power off after a few minutes of operation. Right in the middle of the song you'd get the "goodbye". Did a factory reset following the instructions on the quick start card and it's been flawless ever since.
Sometimes my Jabra would stop working in one ear. It usually happened in the same general location in my house. I wrote it off to some interference but never found the source. The BT-2 don't seem to be affected by that interference, whatever it is.
My wife was using a set by a well known company that starts with a B. Typical with them, the battery life was waning quickly. I let her try my Shures and she immediately wanted a set, and this is the set I bought.
They're really cool how they can be Bluetooth or wired. Battery dies, switch to wired while charging the battery.
Highly recommend!
It won't please bassheads, but has a very clean midrange. This is for those who value clarity over bass. I use full sized headphones for bass anyway.
Has same sound signature as the Drop + JVC HA-EDX1 (blue filters). Basically sounds like the balanced armature version of it, but less bassy and airy. I prefer the SE425 airiness actually, less fatiguing.
The bluetooth implementation is a pain in the a55. When connected, it will promiscuously allow any other device that connected to it previously to connect even if you're using an existing device (such as a phone). A great example of this problem is if I'm in one room with my laptop on a call, and my phone is in another room. The phone is far enough away that the connection is spotty, so the BT2 allows the thing to connect anyway, then disconnect, then reconnect, etc, etc, all while announcing the state of the distant device to you. Also it will occasionally stop working with the device you are actually trying to use, switching fully over to the other device. Then you're lost with no audio until you get up and turn the other device off.
On the flip side, it's great for watching porn in bed while your wife is asleep. Just make sure all other previously paired bluetooth devices inside of a 2 mile radius are turned off.
Worst of all the body/shell adhesive just crumbled after 2yr4mo of use, 4 months after the end of the warranty period. Now I need to figure out if I can find a decent adhesive that won't run and damage the internals. I am worried the other earbud will do the same while I am our exercising or something and will lose the parts..
At least they outlasted my Amazon Echo Buds... They didn't even make it to 15 months of use.
1. Comfortable- I can wear for 8 hours without discomfort
2. easy to use - quick pair, assemble and listening
3. blocks out unwanted noises, loud co-workers/travelers plane noises
4. great battery life and quick recharge
I'm not a sound connoisseur but I think they sound great. Upgraded my Bose wired noise cancelling headphones for these and I don't regret it.

They are a pain to put in your ears but once they are there they are acceptably comfortable. The bluetooth range is maybe 15 feet before it starts cutting out (pathetic). This model (SE425-V+BT2) uses a dual balanced armature driver. First is it better to have more or just one armature? The short answer is that more is better. What multiple armatures does is widen the frequency response. So when you have one all the bass mids and treble come through that one armature. Put in two and now you have one for bass and one for treble. Put in three now you have one for bass one for mids and one for treble and so on. Balanced armature use a coil wrapped metal blade that vibrates to make sound as opposed to a dynamic driver which is more common for earbuds. A dynamic driver uses a diaphragm connected to a magnet to produce sound, a common speaker is an example of this. So that’s how they work now are they worth the money? For the most part yes but I would wait for a sale. These earphones offer a clear and bright listening experience for audiofiles.
These earbuds are the style that you squish into your ear canal, which I usually don't care for. However, there are three sizes of tips, sets in foam, rubber, yellow foam type, as well as the filtered earplug style tips, so you get a really exceptional variety to choose from. I was mostly happy with the smallest rubber ones, though the foam ones you can squeeze with your fingers and jam into your ears before they expand. The others are hit or miss as well. In all cases, though, I found them still a bit uncomfortable and don't enjoy how these types of earbuds amplify me hearing myself breathe. It is important to get them fitted properly, which is trial and error, and confusing at first due to the design, but, the better the seal, the better the sound quality - to a point.
Speaking of sound quality, I found music to be fairly clear, though I wish they were EQ'd slightly differently, as they sounded just slightly as if the high end is filtered, or something, but you may adjust to that pretty quickly, for the most part. The volume goes plenty loud enough for me, and can be adjusted on the inline control, however, some music I listened to seemed like it was clipping ever so slightly, which bothered me. The only other button on there is a play/pause button, and all three have several functions depending on context and how long or how many times you press, which is common on this type of product.
This package includes an alternate cable, which replaces the Bluetooth module with a traditional 3.5mm headset plug. This is the end I use with these earbuds, and I use it primarily with my cellphone. It's good for longer conversations, since the earbuds won't fall out and the sound is clearer. I am not sure how the mic is, but I've not had anyone complain in my conversations as of yet.
Overall, I like the earbuds and the features present. But for me, if I'm going to enjoy music in headphones of any kind, I have cheaper, wired, studio monitors that I much prefer, as well as a variety of other, cheaper, wireless headphones that sound better. This will continue to be used for my phone conversations, but I can't recommend them at this price! You can get a lot cheaper headsets for cellphones... And my search for good-sounding wireless earbuds for music, on the other hand, continues! At this point, I'm not very optimistic I'll ever hear ones that meet my standards - perhaps when it comes to drivers, size does matter.
