Despite Japan’s high-tech image, many businesses and government offices still rely on fax machines, generating documents on which officials can stamp their approval with hanko (traditional seals), leaving a paper trail.
코로나바이러스 확산 속도를 늦출 수 있도록 재택 근무를 추진해 온 아베 신조 총리는 각료들에게 규제를 정비하고 이를 폐기하거나 간소화할 목적으로 부담스러운 절차를 파악하라고 지시했다.
후생노동성은 코로나바이러스 유행에 대처하기 위해 고군분투하는 보건소들의 부담을 줄이기 위해 5월 10일부터 온라인 보고 시스템을 실시하고, 5월 17일부터 전국적으로 확대할 계획이라고 목요일 밝혔다.
NHK에 따르면 지금까지 전국적으로 14,000명 이상의 확인된 감염과 455명의 사망자가 기록되었다고 한다.
후생노동성의 한 관계자는 새로운 보고체계가 보건소에 도움이 되고 새로운 감염, 입원, 심각한 경우를 포함한 데이터 수집의 효율성을 높일 것이라고 말했다.
